MaRS Lota

I must confess that I was really hoping to see spots when I paired our appy female, Dixie, with Victory's Liberator, but unless you count 2 spots on her back hip, it didn't happen! We suspect the spots are in there and hopefully someone with unrelated appaloosa genetics will purchase Lota.

Lota has tons of potential to take any fleece minded owner. Her staple length is absolutely incredible! The uniformity of her blanket fleece along with consistent, bright, well-defined crimp is something we all strive to get in our herds. Check out her fiber stats!

She had been bred to Maestro in hopes of bringing out some spots along with some fabulous fleece. The result? We got a beige male with a single spot! Lota proved herself to be an excellent mom and her son flourished!

Unfortunately we lost Lota's cria for 2021 due to heat stress when we had temps in the triple digits.

Lota had been bred to AspenAlpacas Nightshade our handsome true black for 2022. The result is a healthy, dark fawn female, Matara from MaRS!

Due to a prolapse prior to delivering her last two crias, each progressively worse, we are removing Lota from our breeding program and she will be available as a non-breeder. Lota will not be sold with her registration.
